I'm Caroline Wilkinson, a Chipping Sodbury-based qualifiedĀ Canine Behaviourist and Kids Around Dogs (KAD) Approved Professional. I offer engaging and age-appropriate talks for pre-schools, nurseries, and primary schools in South Gloucestershire & Bristol.
These sessions teach children aged 3-8 years old how to stay safe around dogs and help prevent dog bites by promoting respect and understanding.
What kids will learn:

š¾ The best (and safest) places to stroke a dog

Caroline came to visit our Pre-School during our 'Pets and Vets' week to talk about how we should and shouldnāt approach dogs.Ā The childrenās age ranged between 2-4 years and were all very happy and engaged throughout.
Caroline used her very realistic toy dog to demonstrate things like when and where we shouldnāt pet a dog, many of the children got involved petting 'Hotdog'! How we should ask a dog owner to pet their dog and respecting them if their dog does not want to be touched.
Caroline had the children up and roleplaying different scenarios which we all thought was great!
