In this online ‘Mindful Living and Our Dogs®’ Course, our in-house Certified Animal Behaviourist, Caroline Wilkinson, is joined by Clinical Psychologist, Linda Blair, to teach you ways in which you can live more mindfully alongside your canine companion.
The way we’re feeling really matters to our dogs. They’re always going to soak up our feelings, even when we think we’re not showing them. That means that if we try to solve any problems our dogs may be having, we’ll only be doing half the job if we don’t also know how to feel calm and self-confident ourselves.
The course is provided in easy-to-digest weekly lessons over 6 weeks – with the option of working through the content at your own pace. We cover everything from the basics of mindfulness – breathing and refraining from judgement – to how you and your dog can better eat, rest, communicate and connect.
The course content includes such topics as:
- Mindfulness and Our Dogs
- The Secrets of Good Sleep for the Human End of the Lead
- Calm Connections for Better Communication
- The Right Kind of Exercise and Rest for a Calm Dog
- Eating the Right Foods for Health and Mental Wellbeing
- Moving Forward Mindfully
We aim to ensure that once you’ve worked with us, you’ll find the atmosphere at home more relaxing and enjoyable, and both you and your dog will be feeling much calmer and happier.
